Following a back-and-forth in the media in recent weeks, tension has developed between the two, with the Bayern defeat adding to Koeman’s pressure.
When asked whether he deserved more time, Koeman stated in a press conference on Sunday, “There have been a lot of changes to the squad, guys are out injured, and we’re playing a lot of kids.”
“People that know that would undoubtedly say that we’re going through a transition and that it will take time, but the most important thing is to win games.”
“Before I played for Bayern, there were some concerns about my contract being renewed. We lose 3-0, and the issue now is if I am concerned about my future. It doesn’t seem natural to me.
“We’re confident in our ability to win games, but there’s still a long way to go. I’m well aware that outcomes matter. I have no concerns about my future. The club and the president, at the end of the day, make the choices.”

Next summer, Koeman’s contract will expire. Vice president Eduard Romeu has said that dismissing him before to that date has not been considered, but has also stated that money would not be an issue if the club were to fire the coach.
According to ESPN, although Barcelona has the financial means to pay out Koeman’s contract, the dearth of viable options weighs in favor of the 58-year-old.
When questioned whether he believes there is a campaign against him, Koeman said, “Everyone is allowed to voice their view.”
“I’m sure there are supporters and opponents of Ronald Koeman. I don’t say anything; they do. Some people want me to stay, while others believe Barca should seek for someone else. That is something I am unable to alter.”
Barca, who have seven points from their opening three LaLiga games, will face Granada at Camp Nou on Monday.
After suffering injuries in the defeat to Bayern, Pedri and Jordi Alba will miss the game, joining Ansu Fati, Ousmane Dembele, Martin Braithwaite, and Sergio Aguero on the sidelines.
Koeman stated he has no issue replacing Pedri and Alba with Gavi (17) and Alejandro Balde (18), but that starting the game with five or six of them would be bad for the kids.
Meanwhile, Ansu is expected to return to play in the coming weeks after a 10-month layoff due to a meniscus lesion in his knee.
“I’m not going to say when he’ll be back,” Koeman added, “but he’s working hard.” “It’s all about being patient and waiting for the perfect opportunity.” It may be a week or a ten-day period.
“We know we’re weak on attack, so having Ansu back will be crucial. We’re talking about a fantastic athlete. Despite his youth, he has already shown his worth, scoring a slew of goals at the start of the season.”
